For gioma all started with the man which is climped on a piece of wood on the last boat in the middle of the picture. His nickname was Aforezis, from one pirate that
he was always was yelling on the port. He was one of the first people that lived to Plakias. His father was a merchant with big boats and traded goods form Gialia Area
and other places. Aforezis generaly was fisherman, but he was also made soft-drinks, he had olive-trees, and some animals for milk and meat.
He made the building of taverna gioma before 1980 and after 16 years we made it the tavern there. His son, Manolis, our father, didn't became a fisherman, but he
studied Engineer to Athens, worked and married there and then he returned to his home. |
